Say “Hola” to CBD Sangria! The sun is burning through and summer is well on its way. We may not be heading to our favourite Spanish destination this summer as Covid has stopped us flying, so why not bring that classic taste of Spain to your garden and home.
In this classic Sangria recipe we’ve added our Tailored Berry Bliss CBD oil, and a touch of Tropical daze CBD oil too. A double serving of rich berry and summer fruit flavours help this classic alcoholic fruit punch chill you out.
Sangria, dating back to the 18th century translates to English as bloodletting! Bloodletting was a method of draining a person’s blood to aid and cure infection, and was used up until the 19th century. We are now adding the health-boosting benefits of CBD to this age-old staple of a national drink, without the use of a sharp blade!
The beauty of this particular drink is it can be made a day or two in advance (as long as you use the freshest fruit you can get your hands on)
Prep time 10 minutes
Serves up to 8 people
- 2ml Berry bliss CBD oil
- 1ml Tropical Daze CBD oil
- 1 x bottle of good Rioja (you need an excellent bodied Spanish wine for this)
- 60g Sugar (caster best)
- 230ml Orange Juice smooth
- 230ml Pineapple Juice
- 120ml Cointreau (Goes well with Tropical days CBD oil)
- 1 x Orange sliced (try and get blood orange for that extra beauty and flavour)
- 1 x Lemon sliced (unwaxed)
- 12 x Strawberries quartered
- 1 x Pear chopped and diced chunky
You can also add Pineapple if you wish, add whatever fruit you like and get creative to be honest but always wash your fruit well.
- Mix all the ingredients in a large pitcher, cover and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
- Stir well and serve over ice.
- Top up with sparkling water if you wish.
